UCPath Notice: Direct Deposit Validation Coming August 24

To help keep your personal and banking information safe, UCPath is adding an extra layer of security starting Sunday, August 24.  When you view or update your direct deposit details in UCPath, you'll now be asked to complete a quick account number verification step. This added protection is in response to an increase in fraudulent activity and is designed to help keep your data secure.

After completing the self-service security questions in UCPath, you'll see a new verification step:

  • You'll be asked to enter one full active account number currently used for your direct deposit.
  • You’ll have up to three tries to enter it correctly. If all three attempts are unsuccessful, you’ll need to wait until the next day to try again.
  • This step is required to view or make changes to direct deposit information. It adds a crucial layer of protection to help secure employees’ financial information.   

Action Needed:  Employees should have their bank account number ready anytime they plan to update or review their direct deposit information in UCPath.
